What is VNI-Karaoke Software?

VNI-Karaoke Software is a set of Windows and DOS programs that let you create the lyric captions for Karaoke music videos (Laser Disc, or Video Tape). VNI-Karaoke includes Karaoke Editor and Karaoke Maker.

Karaoke Editor runs in Microsoft Windows and lets you exploit the TrueType font technology to generate characters in various typefaces which can be scaled to virtually any size.

Karaoke Maker loads a file created by Karaoke Editor and renders an outline around and a shadow beneath each word. The Maker then lets you arrange the text on screen, change the colors and display effects, manually step through the song while timing the steps, and play back the steps as you output to video tape.

Since Microsoft Windows 3.1 was released, keyboard drivers and fonts for many languages have been developed by third parties. With VNI-Karaoke, you can create text in any language as long as you have the Windows keyboard driver and fonts for that language.

VNI-Karaoke Software is based on the VGA 640x480 resolution. You can select up to 262,144 different colors and display up to 256 shades at a times.

For more artfull needs, you have options to smooth out cruves by anti-aliasing and to fill designed patterns.

For further exciting the audience, you can select among more than a dozen transitional effects for displaying the caption lines.

VNI-KaraokeTo help singers skim through new lines in advance, VNI-Karaoke can display new lines while a line is being sung.

To help singers resume the song after a long rest, while an instrument goes on solo for example, you can add counters to lead the back to the song from a few beats away.

VNI-Karaoke helps you create and maintain counters, each of which is in effect a sequence of graphical images. You can play a counter to each musical beat; or, you can really play a counter like an animation series!

VNI-Karaoke provides you with three sets of colors and effects for the different singer voices — male, female, and duo. You can optionally merge in a sign to signify the start of each voice part.

Using the mouse, you can interactively resize images, select and drag words and lines to any position on the screen, and examine and modify the characteristics of any item on the screen.

VNI-Karaoke lets you do things incrementally. For examply, you can time any sequence of steps from any psrt of the song, revise a few steps within them, then later continue timing the next parts.
